Thumki's daily routine begins at 4:30 AM with what employees fondly describe as the dog's “perimeter rounds”. It involves a brisk inspection of the property, followed by occasional bird-chasing and other activities that keep the campus lively.

Her ongoing care, along with that of other dogs on campus – including safe shelters and vaccinations – has reportedly been supported by Senior Vice President of Operations K Mohanchandran and his wife, Seema, an animal rescuer.

By the time guests start their day, she retreats to her cosy shelter near the parking lot, always respectful of her human visitors. This captivates guests, who come for the dog's smiles and kindness, proving that true hospitality is not about marble floors.
