Hyderabad: A diamond ring and a bracelet worth Rs 23 lakh were stolen from a house in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills on Wednesday, April 1.

Speaking to Siasat.com, an official from the Jubilee Hills police station said, “We received a complaint regarding theft of a diamond ring worth Rs 15 lakh and a bracelet worth Rs 8 lakh were stolen. The owners suspect that the maids stole the ornaments.”

A case of theft, suspected to be committed by a clerk or servant, has been registered under section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the investigation is underway.
