Acer has entered India’s travel accessories market with the launch of a new range of smart luggage, marking its expansion beyond core technology products into lifestyle categories.

The portfolio includes multiple series — Melbourne, Melbourne Plus, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Brisbane and Predator — available in carry-on, medium and large formats, catering to both short and long-distance travel.

The company said the range focuses on functionality, durability and mobility, with features such as expandable storage, organised interiors, spinner wheels and TSA-approved locks across models.

The Melbourne series uses multi-layer polycarbonate construction with reinforced corners and telescopic handles, while the Melbourne Plus adds aluminium bumper protection and expandable capacity. The Barcelona range offers a front-opening design with dedicated laptop storage, and incorporates recycled polyester materials.

The Copenhagen and Brisbane series introduce dual-opening structures for easier access during transit, with the latter also offering expandable storage. At the premium end, the Predator series features reinforced polycarbonate frames aimed at frequent travellers.

Across the range, Acer has integrated design elements such as silent 360-degree wheels, ergonomic handles and secure locking systems. Select models also include compartmentalised interiors for better organisation.

Commenting on the launch, Harish Kohli, President and Managing Director, Acer India Group, said, “At Acer, innovation has always been about anticipating how consumer needs evolve and expanding into categories where thoughtful design and technology can make everyday experiences better. Travel today has become more dynamic, connected, and experience-led, and consumers increasingly seek products that combine utility, durability, and intelligent design. Our entry into the travel accessories segment reflects a natural extension of Acer’s brand philosophy, bringing purposeful innovation beyond traditional technology categories into lifestyle-led ecosystems. With this portfolio, we are introducing travel solutions built around functionality, sustainability, and modern mobility, while staying true to Acer’s focus on quality and user-centric innovation. As we continue to diversify our portfolio, our objective remains to create products that are relevant, reliable, and designed for how people live and move today.”

Alok Dubey, CFO, Acer India, added, “As travel continues to evolve, so do the expectations of today’s travellers. There is a growing demand for luggage that delivers convenience, durability, smart organization, and seamless mobility, while also maintaining a modern design language. India is one of the most dynamic travel markets, driven by a new generation of frequent travellers and professionals on the move. With this launch, we aim to introduce thoughtfully designed travel solutions that enhance the overall travel experience, combining intelligent storage, durable materials, and smooth functionality. Our focus remains on delivering products that integrate innovation, sustainability, and everyday usability.”

The company said sustainability is a key focus, with several products using recycled polyester (rPET) derived from post-consumer plastic waste.

The range is available on Flipkart and the Acer online store, with prices starting at ₹5,999.
