Mezcalita, the Mexican cantina from Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality, has opened its fourth outlet at Sky City Mall in Borivali.
The launch follows the brand's existing locations in Churchgate, Bandra and Bengaluru, and expands its presence in Mumbai's western suburbs.
Located on the rooftop of Sky City Mall, the restaurant adds Mexican cuisine and agave-based cocktails to the mall's growing food and beverage portfolio. The opening forms part of Sky City Mall's strategy to strengthen its position as a lifestyle destination with a mix of dining, shopping and entertainment offerings.
The menu has been developed in collaboration with Chef Jonatan Torres Muñoz, a Mexican chef with more than 25 years of experience. It features regional Mexican dishes alongside a dedicated Jain menu and vegetarian options. Signature offerings include Chip & Dip Méxicana, Chilaquiles, Street Cart Corn, handcrafted tacos, burritos, tortas, Fideo Seco, Flautas Ahogadas, 24-Hour BBQ Pork Ribs, Tres Leches and Cinnamon Churros.
The beverage programme focuses on tequila- and mezcal-based cocktails, with drinks such as Cha-Chinga, Oaxaca to Osaka, La Pomela and Margarita Pitchers.
The interiors incorporate Mexican-inspired artwork, handcrafted décor and a 68-foot serape-inspired canopy, along with design elements referencing Borivali's proximity to Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

The Borivali outlet is led by Rizwan Amlani, Chef de Cuisine Joel Jonatan Torres Muñoz and Brand Mixologist Sachin Yadav. The opening marks another step in Mezcalita's expansion strategy as it continues to grow its footprint in India's premium casual dining segment.
