Among constituencies in Hyderabad, the highest deletion has been witnessed in Jubilee Hills.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudharsan Reddy has released the list of voters deleted from Telangana electoral rolls, which reflects that Hyderabad has the highest number of deletions among all districts.

The total number of voters deleted in the state is 73,39,235. Out of them, 19,41,444 are from Hyderabad.

Electoral roll shrinks by over 21 percent

In Telangana, there were 3,38,26,448 voters as on June 10, 2026, which dipped to 2,64,87,213 in the draft list.

The dip in voters is 21.70 per cent.

Among the reasons for deletion, the highest number was due to voters being “permanently shifted”, accounting for 45,18,963 deletions. Other reasons included voters being “untraceable/absent”, resulting in 11,25,546 deletions, while 9,22,229 deletions were due to deaths. Another 6,70,203 voters were deleted as they were already enrolled in other constituencies, while 1,02,294 deletions were attributed to other reasons.

Among the districts, the highest deletion is observed in Hyderabad, with the voter list shrinking by over 19 lakh. It is followed by Ranga Reddy district with 12,87,091 deletions.

Medchal-Malkajgiri saw 10,71,566 deletions, which is 35.97 per cent of the total electors before the SIR.

The fewest deletions were observed in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, at 26,121.
